Abstract
The career trajectories of alumni from prestigious educational institutions are a significant area of interest in understanding patterns of the elite and their industry representation. This research examines how the career trajectories of alumni from prestigious institutions such as Harvard, The Wharton School, and Georgetown University differ in terms of industry representation, seeking to identify the factors contributing to these differences. Employing a comparative analysis approach, data from alumni directories from 1995 will be gathered and analyzed to discern patterns of industry representation among alumni from the aforementioned institutions. Through statistical analysis and qualitative interpretation of the empirical material, this study aims to draw conclusions regarding the extent to which institutional reputation influences the career trajectories and industry representation of alumni from elite institutions.
