Abstract

Social intelligence is undeniably vital for individual well-being and happiness, in facilitating proficient navigation of social interactions and fostering meaningful connections. This study aims to explore the overarching question of whether strengthening social intelligence can yield positive effects on overall happiness and well-being.

Recognizing the universal significance of social intelligence, the research will delve into its implications within broader societal contexts. By examining how enhanced social intelligence can positively influence overall relationships and interpersonal dynamics, this study seeks to uncover its potential to contribute to greater societal well-being and happiness.

Additionally, this study will also delve into the potential connection and effects enhanced social intelligence can have within families of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The challenges faced by individuals with ASD significantly impact family dynamics and the individual happiness and well-being of those members. Thus, this project will first evaluate the potential effects of enhanced social intelligence in society, with a more narrowed focus on its potential benefits for families of ASD individuals and their well-being.

By illuminating the relationship between social intelligence and overall happiness and well-being the hopes is discover if it can be applied to help foster greater societal understanding and acceptance of one another  as well as those who may not be able to fully do so, such as those individuals with ASD and their families.
